Experience

Graduating with a degree in Petroleum and Petrochemical Engineering from Cairo University in 2017, the graduation project focused on producing biodiesel from waste cooking oil and animal bones, which sparked a deep passion for sustainability and environmental issues. This project became a key turning point, leading to a career in the environmental and sustainability sectors within the oil and gas and EPC industries. With over six years of experience, the focus has been on managing and executing environmental projects, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and deliver impactful, sustainable solutions. The journey has involved conducting thorough environmental assessments, designing monitoring programs to track key environmental parameters, and developing mitigation strategies to minimize ecological impacts. Earlier roles have also provided valuable experience in procurement coordination, technical and commercial proposal preparation, and expanding international business networks. Throughout these experiences, a strong emphasis has been placed on innovation and the application of sustainable practices, with a clear commitment to addressing both industry challenges and broader environmental issues. This holistic approach has driven continuous efforts to create meaningful, long-term impacts in the field.

Skills

In addition to hands-on project experience, continuous professional development has been a key focus. A Carbon Footprint Professional Diploma has been completed, awarded by the National Quality Institute (NQI) and the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality (EOS). This certification covers a range of critical topics, including climate change, environmental management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 50001), life cycle assessment (LCA), carbon footprint calculations, and greenhouse gas (GHG) protocols. It also delves into advanced concepts like carbon credits, carbon market mechanisms, and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), further enhancing expertise in sustainable practices and environmental impact reduction.
